An imagined apartment for two readers: fewer partitions, longer sightlines and enough storage that the rooms can feel almost empty.

One continuous joinery wall holds books, a concealed desk and dining storage. A muted olive accent gives the reading room a distinct atmosphere without cutting it off from the living space.

A narrow living room had to accommodate work, dining and a substantial book collection.

Storage stays on one wall and furniture remains low. A sliding panel closes the desk at the end of the day, keeping work from dominating the room.
